How much do you charge per recording session?
We offer day rates and per project rates, depending on your needs. Our rates are affordable, and less expensive than major studios. Please contact us and let us know what your project requires, we will be happy to give you a quote.
When I hire you to mix my song, how should I prepare my tracks?
Please send the individual stems for each track in either mono, or stereo depending on the instrument, as .wav files, preferably 88,200 Hz (88.2 kHz) and 24bit depth. Please do not render effects and reverbs to the stems. If you are in love with a certain effect or distortion, print those effects on a seperate stem and label it for which track it corresponds to.
Keep volume levels of each track at a maximum of (minus) - 2db.
**important** When rendering your individual tracks, make sure all tracks begin at 0 seconds (the beginning of the song), even if certain instruments/sounds appear much later in the song. All tracks should be lined up at 0 seconds. Do not send bits and pieces of sounds, rather, send one solid stem for each track.
Feel free to send along a text file with any notes you may have, and/or a rough mix in .mp3 format, if you have certain sounds you are trying to achieve. Thank-you :)
Which format will I receive my finished mixed track?
We will mix down your track in .wav format 88,200 Hz (88.2 kHz) and 24bit depth, peaking at (minus) - 2db. At no additional cost to you, we will give you 3 seperate versions of each song; a) a full finished mix, b) an instrumental version, c) a karaoke version (with backing vocals intact and lead vocal removed).
When I hire you to master my song, how should I prepare my track?
Please send your mixed track as a stereo .wav file, preferably 88,200 Hz (88.2 kHz) and 24bit depth with a volume level of not higher than (minus) - 2db.
Which format will I receive my finished mastered track?
You will receive both a .wav and .mp3 version of your master. Rendered at 88,200 Hz (88.2 kHz) and 24bit depth as well as a second version of 44,100Hz (44.1kHz) 16bit depth. At no additional cost to you, we typically give 2 different mastered versions, example: a) Hard Limited (LOUD) version, and b) a secondary stylistic version.
That's a total of 8 seperate masters for the price of one :)
